The second version increased the arsenal into dozens of upgradeable weapons, raised the number of missions available and even added a suite of playable characters from throughout the series, including several not even featured in the main game.
While the first Raid Mode, featured in the first Revelations game was admittedly bare-bones, Revelations 2's Raid Mode expanded almost every aspect. Revelations 2's iteration of Raid Mode not only fully fleshed out this bonus mode into an amazing experience full of content, but simultaneously made a case for how Capcom could present Resident Evil as a cooperative multiplayer experience that plays well while appealing to existing fans.
However, although it took many games for The Mercenaries to evolve, all it took was one sequel for Raid Mode to fully reach its potential.
